Nodes

Nodes are connection points in 3D space where bars meet. They are automatically created at bar endpoints, but you can also place free nodes.

Creating Nodes

Press N or select the Create Node tool. Click anywhere in the 3D viewport to place a node. Use coordinate input for precise placement.

Smart Snapping

CalcSteel automatically snaps to existing nodes (endpoints), midpoints, and perpendicular projections. The snap panel in the toolbar controls which snaps are active.
