EN — Wide Flange (I-beam)
Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.
The UC 356x368x177 steel profile weighs 177.0 kg/m (118.94 lb/ft), has a depth of 368.2 mm (14.50 in), flange width 372.6 mm (14.67 in). Cross-sectional area: 22,352.4 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 56,629.6 cm⁴, Iy = 20,526.89 cm⁴.
