EN — Wide Flange (I-beam)
Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.
The UC 305x305x283 steel profile weighs 282.9 kg/m (190.11 lb/ft), has a depth of 365.3 mm (14.38 in), flange width 322.2 mm (12.69 in). Cross-sectional area: 35,844.3 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 78,509.25 cm⁴, Iy = 24,629.09 cm⁴.
