EN — Wide Flange (I-beam)
Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.
The UB 305x102x33 steel profile weighs 32.8 kg/m (22.04 lb/ft), has a depth of 312.7 mm (12.31 in), flange width 102.4 mm (4.03 in). Cross-sectional area: 4,133.1 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 6,398.74 cm⁴, Iy = 193.97 cm⁴.
