EN — Wide Flange (I-beam)
Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.
The UC 305x305x118 steel profile weighs 117.9 kg/m (79.23 lb/ft), has a depth of 314.5 mm (12.38 in), flange width 307.4 mm (12.10 in). Cross-sectional area: 14,822 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 27,309.68 cm⁴, Iy = 9,057.19 cm⁴.
