EN — Wide Flange (I-beam)
Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.
The UC 254x254x89 steel profile weighs 88.9 kg/m (59.74 lb/ft), has a depth of 260.3 mm (10.25 in), flange width 256.3 mm (10.09 in). Cross-sectional area: 11,192.7 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 14,100.1 cm⁴, Iy = 4,856.51 cm⁴.
