EN — Wide Flange (I-beam)
Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.
The UC 203x203x86 steel profile weighs 86.1 kg/m (57.86 lb/ft), has a depth of 222.2 mm (8.75 in), flange width 209.1 mm (8.23 in). Cross-sectional area: 10,874.3 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 9,379.13 cm⁴, Iy = 3,126.76 cm⁴.
