EN — Wide Flange (I-beam)
Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.
The UC 203x203x52 steel profile weighs 52.0 kg/m (34.94 lb/ft), has a depth of 206.2 mm (8.12 in), flange width 204.3 mm (8.04 in). Cross-sectional area: 6,539 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 5,189.12 cm⁴, Iy = 1,777.24 cm⁴.
