EN — Wide Flange (I-beam)
Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.
The UC 203x203x46 steel profile weighs 46.1 kg/m (30.98 lb/ft), has a depth of 203.2 mm (8.00 in), flange width 203.6 mm (8.02 in). Cross-sectional area: 5,783.8 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 4,498.12 cm⁴, Iy = 1,547.86 cm⁴.
