IS — Wide Flange (I-beam)

Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.

The ISLB 300 steel profile weighs 37.7 kg/m (25.33 lb/ft), has a depth of 300 mm (11.81 in), flange width 150 mm (5.91 in). Cross-sectional area: 4,704 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 7,197.17 cm⁴, Iy = 529.45 cm⁴.
