IS — Wide Flange (I-beam)

Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.

The ISLB 100 steel profile weighs 8.0 kg/m (5.38 lb/ft), has a depth of 100 mm (3.94 in), flange width 50 mm (1.97 in). Cross-sectional area: 988.8 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 162.5 cm⁴, Iy = 13.38 cm⁴.
