EN — Wide Flange (I-beam)
Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.
The IPE 330 steel profile weighs 49.1 kg/m (33.00 lb/ft), has a depth of 330 mm (12.99 in), flange width 160 mm (6.30 in). Cross-sectional area: 5,982.5 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 11,145.15 cm⁴, Iy = 786.15 cm⁴.
