BR — Wide Flange (I-beam)
Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.
The VS 450x80 steel profile weighs 80.1 kg/m (53.83 lb/ft), has a depth of 450 mm (17.72 in), flange width 200 mm (7.87 in). Cross-sectional area: 10,195.6 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 38,989.02 cm⁴, Iy = 2,534.19 cm⁴.
