EN — Wide Flange (I-beam)
Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.
The UC 356x406x393 steel profile weighs 393.0 kg/m (264.10 lb/ft), has a depth of 419 mm (16.50 in), flange width 407 mm (16.02 in). Cross-sectional area: 49,859.2 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 146,129.67 cm⁴, Iy = 55,360.25 cm⁴.
