EN — Wide Flange (I-beam)
Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.
The UC 356x368x153 steel profile weighs 152.9 kg/m (102.75 lb/ft), has a depth of 362 mm (14.25 in), flange width 370.5 mm (14.59 in). Cross-sectional area: 19,282.1 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 48,100.9 cm⁴, Iy = 17,551.2 cm⁴.
