EN — Wide Flange (I-beam)
Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.
The UC 305x305x198 steel profile weighs 198.1 kg/m (133.12 lb/ft), has a depth of 339.9 mm (13.38 in), flange width 314.5 mm (12.38 in). Cross-sectional area: 25,043.2 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 50,541.59 cm⁴, Iy = 16,295.56 cm⁴.
