EN — Wide Flange (I-beam)
Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.
The UB 457x152x67 steel profile weighs 67.2 kg/m (45.16 lb/ft), has a depth of 458 mm (18.03 in), flange width 153.8 mm (6.06 in). Cross-sectional area: 8,466 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 28,526.18 cm⁴, Iy = 912.11 cm⁴.
