EN — Wide Flange (I-beam)
Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.
The UB 254x102x25 steel profile weighs 25.2 kg/m (16.93 lb/ft), has a depth of 257.2 mm (10.13 in), flange width 101.9 mm (4.01 in). Cross-sectional area: 3,154.3 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 3,344.93 cm⁴, Iy = 148.57 cm⁴.
