IS — Wide Flange (I-beam)

Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.

The ISWB 200 steel profile weighs 28.8 kg/m (19.35 lb/ft), has a depth of 200 mm (7.87 in), flange width 140 mm (5.51 in). Cross-sectional area: 3,630.2 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 2,606.46 cm⁴, Iy = 411.94 cm⁴.
