IS — Wide Flange (I-beam)
Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.
The ISLB 275 steel profile weighs 33.0 kg/m (22.18 lb/ft), has a depth of 275 mm (10.83 in), flange width 140 mm (5.51 in). Cross-sectional area: 4,111.4 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 5,276.26 cm⁴, Iy = 403.02 cm⁴.
