IS — Wide Flange (I-beam)

Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.

The ISLB 175 steel profile weighs 16.7 kg/m (11.22 lb/ft), has a depth of 175 mm (6.89 in), flange width 90 mm (3.54 in). Cross-sectional area: 2,064.1 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 1,055.92 cm⁴, Iy = 84.01 cm⁴.
