IS — Wide Flange (I-beam)

Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.

The ISLB 150 steel profile weighs 14.2 kg/m (9.54 lb/ft), has a depth of 150 mm (5.91 in), flange width 80 mm (3.15 in). Cross-sectional area: 1,742.7 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 659.7 cm⁴, Iy = 58.15 cm⁴.
