EN — Wide Flange (I-beam)
Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.
The HEM 360 steel profile weighs 250.0 kg/m (168.00 lb/ft), has a depth of 395 mm (15.55 in), flange width 308 mm (12.13 in). Cross-sectional area: 31,255 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 83,429.71 cm⁴, Iy = 19,503.05 cm⁴.
