EN — Wide Flange (I-beam)
Wide flange beams (W shapes / I-beams) are the most common structural steel profile used in building construction. They are used for beams, columns, and girders in steel-framed buildings and bridges. Designed per AISC 360, Eurocode 3, and NBR 8800.
The HEB 260 steel profile weighs 93.0 kg/m (62.50 lb/ft), has a depth of 260 mm (10.24 in), flange width 260 mm (10.24 in). Cross-sectional area: 11,350 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 14,350.86 cm⁴, Iy = 5,128.21 cm⁴.
