BR — Cold-formed Lipped Channel
Cold-formed lipped channels (C shapes) are lightweight profiles commonly used as purlins, girts, and light framing members. The stiffening lips increase local buckling resistance. Designed per AISI S100 and NBR 14762.
The C 250x75x25x2 steel profile weighs 9.8 kg/m (6.59 lb/ft), has a depth of 250 mm (9.84 in), flange width 75 mm (2.95 in). Cross-sectional area: 884 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 824.09 cm⁴, Iy = 67.74 cm⁴.
