BR — Cold-formed Lipped Channel
Cold-formed lipped channels (C shapes) are lightweight profiles commonly used as purlins, girts, and light framing members. The stiffening lips increase local buckling resistance. Designed per AISI S100 and NBR 14762.
The C 75x40x15x2.66 steel profile weighs 4.6 kg/m (3.09 lb/ft), has a depth of 75 mm (2.95 in), flange width 40 mm (1.57 in). Cross-sectional area: 463.8 mm². Moment of inertia Ix = 40.76 cm⁴, Iy = 10.49 cm⁴.
